Fashion Forward™ to Host ‘Fashion Plates’ Luncheon and Fashion Show Fundraiser
for Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank
San Diego, CA – Fashion Forward™ and the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank are teaming up for the Food Bank’s second annual luncheon and fashion show fundraiser to benefit the Food Bank’s Food 4 Kids Backpack Program which provides weekend food packages to chronically hungry school children.
The fashion show, produced by KUSI “Style Guy” Leonard Simpson’s Fashion Forward™ fashion production company, will be chaired by Roxi Link with co-chair Bonnie Hage, honorary chairs Joe & Lisa Busalacchi, and founding chair Sally B. Thornton.
The event will include silent and live auctions, and will feature an exciting range of designers, models from New York and Los Angeles, and local celebrities. Commenting on the show Simpson said, “This Tuscan-themed event promises to be a theatrical feast for the senses. Guests will be whisked away to the dramatic landscape and rolling hills of Tuscany. We are going Italian chic, and the fashion show will be a veritable extravaganza for the senses in aid of a very important cause – providing food to chronically hungry school children.”
The fundraiser will feature fashions and jewelry from Sharon Plache of Clarise Designs, Celeste Boutique, Fairen Del, The Madison Suite, GSB Menswear, Mia Bella Couture, Hot Rock Jewelry, Bob Eix Jewelry, and Pamela Pogue Jewelry.
The luncheon and fashion show will take place on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine. The silent auction will open at 10:30 a.m., and the luncheon will start at 12 noon with the fashion show following at 1 p.m. Tickets are available at $100 for general admission and $150 for premium seating.
“We are calling on our supporters to join us for this exciting fashion show fundraiser for the Food Bank. All proceeds will help us support the Food 4 Kids Backpack Program which provides food to children who face hunger over the weekend when free school meals are unavailable,” said Food Bank CEO J. Scofield “Scody” Hage.
Ticket sales for the fashion show are open to the public. A food drive will also be held at the event, and members of the public are invited to donate nonperishable food items
